KWRH plays a leadership role in educating future health care professionals.  On a daily basis there are college students within various departments, precepted by our staff, who are pursuing degrees in nursing, radiology, pharmacy and surgery technology.  Students from Midwestern State University and Vernon College engage in clinical rotations which are designed to grow, learn and enrich their skills as they advance through their respective programs.

 

As students pair up with our staff for clinical rotations, they have the opportunity to see the importance of the interdisciplinary team approach to patient care.  Our hospital shares and promotes  the academic mission of preparing these students to provide competent and compassionate health care to individuals and families.
